Gloria Gaynor he's not...

TJ tried to get me to sing along, but he really didn't need any help at all.  Posted by Hello

First I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side
But I spent so many nights
thinking how you did me wrong
I grew strong
I learned how to carry on
and so you're back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed my stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me

Regarding Christ in a Canoe

A dismayed Julia is in disbelief that I managed to get us all to the bar in one piece, while staying on my side of the road, AND remembering to stop at the stop sign. Posted by Hello

June 5th - OP vs. OP

Oscar Peterson or October Project? Posted by Hello

Battle Scars?

No words could capture what I think when I see this. I'll leave it to you to discuss.  Posted by Hello

Unfortunately, at this moment we are no longer in New York State. We are working with a couple of new distributors, and will hopefully be in your area sooner than later. If you are signed up for the mailing list, I am certain they will send out a notice once we have expanded into New York. Thanks for your interest.  Posted by Hello

Oh, I am so excited!!! So is Harley. *kiss* Posted by Hello

woo-hoo! now everyone can see my babies! Posted by Hello

it's all over now, baby blue

Yesterday was one of those days where I never should have gotten out of bed.

Bah.

On top of all the ridiculous bullshit happening, at one point I was down in the kitchen getting something out of the fridge when I sneezed, and as my head came down, BAM! I smacked it right into the corner of the doorframe. Hard. So now, the door frame is dented (yes, actually dented), my head has a goose egg the size of Jacob's Field, and there's been a shooting pain down the right side of my neck ever since.

the adoption of the disenchanted devil-may-care attitude...

...so don't screw with me anymore, ok? I'm taking my inspiration from the Lela Lee Angry Little Girls characters, which I recently discovered while watching a special on PBS. I've never laughed so hard in my life.

the fiercest calm i've been in

went walking last night

in a way

my best celebrity story

I went to a performance of Swan Lake once, during my freshman year in college. It was a performance given by the now defunct Cleveland-San Jose Ballet, whose conductor was also the conductor of our college orchestra. I went with Frankie and "white" Linda, and we got a ride from the conductor, who drive his little red BMW up I-71 like the world was ending.

After the performance, we went backstage to greet the dancers and musicians. On the way out to the parking lot with the conductor, Frankie and Linda and I turned around to shake hands with Mr. Tony Randall, who had been at that evening's performance.

Cheers to Tony Randall, who died Monday evening, for giving me my best celebrity story. So far.

the name has been taken
and the truth and the life
and the woman who is not herself free
she does not exist

forever is forever

blessed be the tie that binds

update:
It was The Thorns...a song called I Can't Remember. I think I'm in love. Again. *sighs*

Was anyone listening to WBER yesterday morning at about 7:40am-ish? I heard a song that I cannot get out of my head. I think it was Matthew Sweet or The Thorns, but I can't be sure. A little help? Anyone? Julia?

sorry, guys...

I know in the last few days there were people I was supposed to call, e-mail, etc. I haven't been able to do it. I'm having a rough go of things these days, so I send out my apologies. You know who you are.

2 trips to the Emergency Vet in less than a year...my 'free' dog is costing me a fortune.

Yesterday afternoon, Harley excitedly greeted a friend of ours from the Philippines, who's in the States for the summer. Harley jumped up with such force that she flipped over backwards and cracked her head on the driveway.

Luckily she's fine now, but I am more than traumatized.
