rococo clouds

The later sunrise is sometimes the only redeeming thing
about
cooler-weather mornings.
7:30 am now is when the sun is mid-sky on its way up.

When the sun-rays pour down through the changing red maples
lining the street, I feel I could never leave the North.

You don't call 3 feet of snow in 24 hours a natural disaster? I do. I'd rather go South where they close schools for 1 inch.

Three feet of snow in 24 hours? That's an average winter day in Chautauqua County. Just kidding. I hardly consider that a disaster since the most damage it will possibly cause is some sore backs from shoveling, some fender benders by people who don't know how to drive when the weather sucks, maybe a few stranded folk if the plows aren't quick enough, and some closed schools/activities/businesses. In a few days time, life is back to normal with lingering effects being some good stories to tell about what you were doing when the snow hit. Give me snow any day over hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, and forest fires.
